“How to get millionaire prospects to find you online”

Would you like to have millionaire prospects finding YOU on the Internet?

My bet is that if you are reading this, then the answer is “YES”.

The great news is that there are TONS of millionaire prospects online.

In fact, it could be argued (successfully) that proportionally, there are more millionaires online than any other income demographic because they all have access to, run businesses from, and rely on the Internet every day to manage their money, time, employees, etc.

Let me tell you a quick story that happened to me recently, and how you can recreate it to find out precisely how to attract millionaire prospects online (especially right now during the Holidays).

For those of you that don’t know me well, my wife and I recently welcomed our second child into the world, a beautiful baby girl.

My wife’s parents (my in-laws) were not able to make the delivery, so a month after our daughter’s birth, they came to Atlanta to see their newest grandchild. They came in on a Thursday evening and stayed until Sunday, and we really had a good time with them.

Fortunately for me, I really do have awesome in-laws that I enjoy being around.

Another important fact about my in-laws that pertains to this story is that they are incredible savers. They have a multi-million dollar house that is paid for, they have no debt, they love investing, and they are super smart.

They are ideal clients for any financial advisor who enjoys working with high-net worth and sophisticated clients.

At dinner on the second evening of their stay, I decided to change the course of the conversation. Instead of the usual small talk about grandkids, the weather, and life in general, I asked them the following question…

“If I gave you a computer right now and asked you to Google the top three things that you wanted to know about retirement, what would you type in?”

They looked at me a little confused at first, and then I explained to them the reason behind my question…

I told them, “That I greatly respected their opinion, and I needed some help finding out what consumers were really typing in to Google to answer their most burning retirement questions.

Their next question back to me was “How precise of a search was I looking for?”

I replied by saying, “As precise as you would literally type into Google. I really need you to pretend a laptop is in front of you and I am asking you to type on a keyboard. Tell me exactly what would you type in?

They both thought for a moment, and then started throwing out some incredible feedback (which will be revealed in just a minute).

This kind of search knowledge is Incredible Power

The lesson here is that within less than 8 minutes, I had some incredible information at my fingertips…actual Google searches from millionaire consumers.

And not just any Google searches, but searches revealing what they were typing in to try and solve their retirement questions and problems. And they were even excited to give it to me and to be a part of the brief experience.

In fact, my mother-in-law came back later that evening with something else she thought of as she continued to think of searches for me.

So the next time you are around one of your ideal clients or any wealthy person in general, just ask them the same question that I did above. I have yet to meet someone who wasn’t flattered when I asked them for their opinion because I valued it so much.

Just give it a try.

Once you have this information, you now have the headlines and entire message for your next few blogs or videos to try and rank in Google for.

So what did my in-laws say that they would type into Google?

Here are the first three things that came to their mind.

  1. How to grow my retirement accounts with minimal risk?
  2. What are the best mutual funds for retired couples?
  3. Top financial advisors in “their city”

Conclusion

In my recent book, “The Authority Advisor“, I used a hard hitting (but certainly true) sub-title that said, “If Your Prospects Can’t Find You Online, Then You Don’t Exist“.

Going forward, this is going to start ringing truer than ever before. The great news is that it isn’t that tough to put out great content that is targeted to your ideal prospects, and most importantly, have them find it and take action.

And even if you haven’t started yet as a financial advisor, it is not too late, you still have time to start today without missing out on too much, and most of your competitors haven’t started this process yet either.

Moreover, you can see in just 10 minutes or so how quickly it can be to get your blog topics and headlines, even blogs that will attract millionaire prospects online.

So this is your chance to beat them to the punch and become THE AUTHORITY in your area or niche.

The sad news is that hardly anyone is teaching you how to do this in our industry. All the “so called experts” say is that you “need to blogging”, “start a blog”, or “blogging works”, but most never tell you the exact steps to blog or how to get great content ideas.

P.S. – Don’t ever miss a chance to pick other people’s brains on what they search for on Google. It could be someone you sit next to on an airplane, get stuck in line next to somewhere, or even a long elevator ride if you are really good.
