Earlier this month on Hangout Madness, we had guest Bill Winterberg (technology guru for financial advisors) on our live show to discuss all kinds of great tips on YouTube Marketing for Financial Advisors. That hangout also spurred a bunch of other questions regarding financial advisor video marketing, so we decided to do a follow up live hangout that gave two very powerful video marketing tips that any financial advisor could implement in the next 48 hours.
Financial Advisor Video Marketing for Dummies
In this live hangout video above, Luke and I go more in depth on some video marketing secrets for financial advisors that personally helped change our very own company. In fact, I even give 2 financial advisor video marketing secrets out that can both be executed in the next 48 hours. Here is an overview of each idea (watch the video to get the full details)
- Since we all know that Google is giving a search engine boost to Google+ hangouts, I have found that the easiest way for a financial professional to have an “About You” or an “About Your Company” video be found on page 1 of Google is to do a live hangout on air and then publish it “public” on YouTube. The coolest part is that this is 100% free to do, it does not require any camera or fancy equipment, and it can be done in just minutes. My advice is to do just a 2-6 minute overview of what sets you and your company apart, why someone would want to do business with you, and then a final call to action. Of course, the next step would be to remember to put your name (or company name) in the YouTube Title, Description, and Tag area.
- Financial advisor video marketing idea #2 was to find a topic or area of expertise that you are really passionate about or can speak as an expert about. Once you have the topic, go to YouTube.com and search for that topic. Find the video on your topic with the most views and/or the most viewer interaction in terms of comments, likes, etc. After that, it is time to create a quick video using powerpoint where you will screencast or “record your screen” and then throw up on YouTube. The crucial part of this process is once it is on YouTube as you will try to mimic some of the same keywords and phrases that the most successful video did. And then of course, it helps if you have great video content as well!
